# Bill part of a room meter

> Bills one interval of a running room meter as a charge (every un-billed night when `from`/`to` are omitted). The meter keeps running, and cancelling the invoice the charge lands on frees the interval to be billed again.

The admission must be on new billing (`use_new_billing`); otherwise this returns 409. Returns 503 when billing is not configured on the server, and 502 when the billing service fails.
